OUR BELIEFS
We believe God’s grace is open to all. We believe salvation is an open gift from God, accepted by individuals according to their own free will. The United Methodist denomination is a “big tent” theologically, providing space for theological discourse and, at times, disagreement.
Like many other Christian groups, we affirm beliefs expressed in the Apostles Creed. These include:
The belief in one God, who is the Creator and sustainer of the universe.
The belief in the Trinity, that there is one God in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost
The belief in the divinity of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who is fully human and fully divine.

Challenges:
1. Quietly reflect on how often you talk with God and the content of those conversations. Imagine ways you can grow closer to God through these conversations. Put one of the ways you imagine into action this week.
2. Read Luke 18:1-8, Genesis 24:36-54a, Exodus 8, Numbers 21:4-8,
Deuteronomy 9:4-29, Joshua 10:12-14, 2 Samuel 7:18-29, 1 Kings 8:12-52, Psalm 34, Proverbs 15:8,29, Isaiah 1:1-20, Jonah 3, Matthew 6:5-13, Mark 11:15-25, Luke 5:15-16, John 17, Acts 2:42, Romans 8:26-30, 1 Corinthians 14:13-15, Ephesians 6:18-20, Philippians 4:6-7, 1 Thessalonians 5:15-22, James 5:13-18, and Revelation
8:1-4. List four things you find important in these passages about Prayer. Share what you learn with someone.
3. This week pray for someone with whom you have issues. Include in
your prayer a request that God bless them.
